Graduates of American Bar Association approved law schools taking the examination for the first time passed at the rate of 80.5%, which represents an increase of 7.2% over the results for this group on the February 2009 examination.
The Board examined 4,031 candidates during the two days of testing conducted on February 23 and 24, 2010, which is believed to be the largest number ever recorded for a February administration of the examination. The passing rate for all candidates, including U.S. domestic-educated and foreign-educated candidates, both first-time and repeat takers, was 50%. This represents a 8.3% increase in the overall passing rate from the February 2009 examination.
