The New York State Board of Law Examiners has completed grading the papers written by applicants for admission to the Bar at the examination held on July 25-26, 2006. Of the 10,448 candidates examined, 6,475 were certified for admission to the bar and are to be interviewed by appropriate Committees on Character and Fitness. The remaining 783 candidates who passed the exam will be certified upon receipt by the board of proof that they have successfully completed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination as required by the Rules of the New York State Court of Appeals.
