Of the 2,979 people who took the February 24-25, 1998 New York State bar examination, 1,427 (47.9 percent) passed. Of the 1,190 people who took the test for the first time, 769 (64.5 percent) passed.

Candidates who passed are listed below under the Appellate Division in which they have applied for admission. The 268 candidates who passed the exam but are not certified for admission, because the Board of Law Examiners has not yet received proof they passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination, are listed separately.
