Stuart L. Finz
Senior Trial Attorney and CEO
Stuart L. Finz earned his reputation as a top trial attorney by scoring record multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for victims of Medical Malpractice, Products Liability, Defective Drugs, and General Negligence. He has received coveted membership in the prestigious Super Lawyers, and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Under his leadership, the firm continues to stand out in the field of medical legal litigation, is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has won over $1 Billion for its clients in New York State and nationwide.
Most recently Mr. Finz added to his winning record with a $14,768,000 verdict for a building porter, Jose Humareda, in Manhattan Supreme Court. Mr. Humareda retained Stuart prior to trial during a pending appeal, which Mr. Finz argued and won. During the six week trial, Stuart contended that the managing agent for the NYC luxury apartment building where Mr. Humareda was employed failed to properly maintain the trash compactor and train Mr. Humareda how to clear a jam, which caused his hand to be crushed in the machine. Although Mr. Finz asked the jury to award $3 Million for past pain and suffering and $5 Million for future pain and suffering, the unanimous jury increased these amounts to $5 Million and $7 Million.
Additional victories include the largest truck accident settlement in New York, a record Defective Drug settlement, and multi- million dollar results in Construction, Automobile and Medical Malpractice cases. Mr. Finz is renowned for his extreme trial preparation and extraordinary courtroom skills. His proven record of results, along with total dedication to his clients and forwarding attorneys, combine for a proven winning formula.
