We are honored that for the 7th consecutive year, our partner Thomas P. Giuffra has been featured by this publication for having two of the highest verdicts in New York State. In 2015, Tom obtained a $2.5 million verdict against Richmond University Medical Center for misdiagnosing a patient with cancer when she actually had a benign tumor. Tom also obtained a $1.5 million verdict for a rider on Brooklyn’s iconic Cyclone rollercoaster who sustained a neck injury. This was the rst verdict against the Cyclone in its 89 year history and was the fth largest verdict in New York for a premises liability case. Tom has now obtained 18 verdicts over one million dollars since starting his career in 1995.
